Maintenance Helper: Works in the Maintenance Department at the University Guest House & Conference Center, the hotel on campus; this person reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
This position demonstrates the ability to prioritize and change course of action quickly, being flexible. Must have a positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Providing outstanding guest service to guests as well as Guest House employees is imperative.
Demonstrated knowledge of general maintenance and related tools; the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and climb step ladders/scaffolding; and, demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills required. A Utah driver’s license is required. Performs routine maintenance including minor carpentry repair work, lock changes, and electrical work. Paints walls, doors, and other exposed surfaces as necessary. Follows Supervisor’s instructions to ensure work orders are completed timely. Conducts routine checks on machinery to determine maintenance required for proper operation. Transports supplies and equipment as needed. Assists in maintaining tools and equipment. May include janitorial services.
Some maintenance and customer service preferred. Must be professional.
