Meeting & Event Facilities

Our 30,000 square feet of meeting space is divided among 5 buildings in the Historic Fort Douglas area, including the University Guest House, the Officers Club, the Commander's House, the Chapel, and The Post Theater. We have facilities for all types of gatherings from business meetings to formal dinners.

University Guest House

Two ballrooms, three meeting rooms, two boardrooms, and a large patio located make up the conference space of our 180 room and 30 suite on-campus hotel. Our conference facilities are well suited to any type of gathering, whether small in our boardrooms, or large in our Fort Douglas Ballroom. Two preparation kitchens are available for caterers.

Officers Club

This multipurpose facility can be used as a single banquet or general session room or can break down into four individual meeting rooms. This is our most popular wedding reception space. A preparation kitchen is available for caterers.

Commanders House

Excellent for receptions or smaller weddings, the Commanders House is a charming historic home with one large meeting room and two smaller meeting rooms including a sun room. A preparation kitchen is available for caterers.

Post Chapel

The Fort Douglas Post Chapel has been fully restored to its original splendor and is available for weddings and other events. The Chapel seats approximately 150 people in pews and is equipped with audio equipment and automatic dais.

Post Theater

The Post Theater has been restored to its original look and feel. With seating for 230 and state of the art audio and video projection system, the theater is the perfect place for movies and seminars.

Bandstand

The Fort Douglas Bandstand and the surrounding lawn area can be rented for outdoor functions of any type like receptions, barbecues, and picnics. Power and water are available. Tables and chairs are included with full day rental for up to 150 guests. Additional furniture can be rented on campus for larger events.

The Grove

Map Set in the wooded outdoor area between the Post Chapel and the Douglas Ballroom, this shaded grove is a perfect setting for an afternoon luncheon. Seating for up to 80.

Fort Douglas Picnic Grounds

The Fort Douglas Picnic Area is available for outside events. There is a covered pavilion, picnic tables, power and brick fireplace/grill.
